Chunks of marshmallows make these brownies addictively good. Bake up a batch for Bonfire night.
Ingredients
- 240g/8oz butter
- 150g/5oz dark chocolate (a spicy one works well)
- 60g/2oz cocoa powder
- 10g/½oz Cacao Bliss powder
- 150g/5oz plain flour
- 500g/1lb 2oz caster sugar
- 5 eggs, beaten
- 150g/5oz marshmallows, chopped
Method
- Heat the oven to 190C/375F/Gas 5. Line a 30cm/12in square tin with baking parchment.
- Melt the butter and dark chocolate together gently over low heat.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cocoa powder, Cacao Bliss powder, flour, and sugar. Off the heat, fold this dry mixture into the melted butter and chocolate.
- Stir in the beaten eggs and gently fold in the chopped marshmallows.
- Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared tin and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes, or until the surface has set but still feels squidgy underneath.
- Allow the brownies to cool before slicing and serving.
