Ingredients

  • 2-3 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
  • Food coloring (soft pink, lavender, baby blue, or pastel green)

For Decoration:

  • Assorted pastel macarons (store-bought or homemade)
  • Edible pearls or sprinkles
  • Gold leaf (optional, for an extra luxe touch)

Instructions

Make the Cake:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch cake pans with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla and almond extract.
  5. Mix in sour cream.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with milk, until just combined.
